Switching out of S mode in Windows 11
Windows 11 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Store. If you want to install an app that isn’t available in the Store, you’ll need to switch out of S mode
1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation.
2. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an “Upgrade your edition of Windows” section, be careful not to click the “Go to the Store” link that appears there.)
3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you’ll be able to install apps from outside of the Store.

You do have to charge it when you get because it is dead but even the charger seemed brand new. It’s smaller than my old laptop so it’s easier to carry around and it’s super light weight. I think this MacBook will do for now but it is not in excellent condition as advertised and they need to advertise appropriately.

Exceeded expectations
[...]After reading some reviews I knew this was a gamble. However, I’m very happy with my purchase. It did come completely dead and needed a good charge but so far so good. It came in near perfect condition. Packaging could have been more secure tho. The interior was a little dusty so I wiped it down but there are NO scratches, dents or even knicks. I held it under a bright lamp for a while and I will say it’s close to perfect. Battery is strong and does the job I need very well. Will update in about a month.

Worst used Ive Ever Bought.
[...]I’ve bought several used Apple products from Amazon that included iPads, Mac’s, etc. I know buying used come with some risks and I expect that anytime I buy used electronics. However, these MacBooks came with fake Apple chargers that don’t work which means they weren’t tested before being shipped. The screen also doesn’t turn on and when it does, it freezes or glitches real bad. It took me an 1hr to set up one computer. It has never done that using an Apple product. Maybe I got the bad end of the stick. But I’m returning asap and buying from another user. The only positive was they arrived on time but other than that, not a great product. They don’t test them thoroughly enough and trust me, I’m an Apple consumer. I have 7 MacBooks, 12 iPads, 6 apple watchers, and most I bought used so I know when a product has been tested and when it has not. These were refurbished with care and details. No way they were. As far as the scratch, I’m ok with that but you can’t give me a dent and defective product with a charger that doesn’t work.

Amazing MacBook!
[...]I bought this for my 15 year old daughter for Christmas whom had a TON of expensive items on her list this year. I was shopping on a budget and was able to get this Mac book for her and it is FLAWLESS!! It came wrapped in what appeared to be the original plastic cellophane wrapping around the laptop and the screen and came with a charger and charging block. There was not one scratch or imperfection on it . My daughter was over the moon when she opened it and she said the speed it is has , is faster than any laptop she’s ever owned . This is her first MacBook. She’s so in love with it . She watches movies on it every night also and said that it never lags which was a problem she had with her smart tv and her former HP laptop when she tried to watch Netflix on those . It allows her to play her favorite games as well with no issues . She also homeschools and she is going to use it for her school work too as she said that the keyboard is like typing on air .If you are on the fence about purchasing this – do it . I researched for months leading up to Christmas and was so stressed and I was happy to find this newer version offered bc I did not want to get her the 2017 model with the old bulky charger – if you have teens, you get what I’m saying . This is a 2020 model and has the C charging cord so the charger matches her iPhone and iPad. This is the one trust me!

I’m not gonna lie I was scared because I didn’t want it to have a bunch of scratches so I already told myself if there were too many scratches I would return it and invest in a newer model. To my surprise, it’s in GREAT condition. It also arrived fast. Which I appreciated. It did arrive dead but that didn’t bother me much. It also had a lot of dust on it but I cleaned it off so easy fix. The sound on it is amazing and as far as speed it seems to be fine. I never had a MacBook and it’s definitely different than my gaming laptop so I’m happy I got an older model to get myself accustomed to using it. This would be a perfect laptop for someone who wants to use it to store documents and do work on. I wouldn’t recommend for gaming. It’s practically brand new. However, it did have a dent on it which is hardly noticeable. For $400 you can’t beat it.
