Easy setup, blazingly fast!
[...]I have only had this laptop for a short time, and have not used it extensively yet. But so far, I love it! It will be replacing a 12-year old Dell Inspiron, which is still going strong, but is painfully slow when trying to do things like enhancing photos, watching videos, or even having too many windows open, etc. The new ASUS ROG is of course designed for gaming, but I plan to use it mainly for my everyday computer needs. It boots up in seconds, and apps also open up incredibly fast. It came with Windows 11 Pro which so far I’m not too crazy about, but I supposed I’ll get used to it. One minor negative (to me) is that when opening the laptop, the lid is such that there is only about 1/4″ of the plastic around the edge of the screen. So unless I’m really careful it is easy to get fingerprints around the edge of the screen. Not a big deal, but a personal annoyance. All things considered I am very happy with this laptop.

It’s ok, but came missing ROG standard software
[...]There is standard ROG software that was missing, which makes me think the device was rebuilt? Not sure, but it booted to an error message at first boot, and then booted fine the second time. I am a 20 year IT professional, so I wasn’t overly concerned with small errors. But something felt off. It’s a beautiful, heavy, gaming laptop. Battery life is pretty terrible but that’s to be expected from this type of device. I use Macs for work and I’ll admit they have great battery life. I just loathe Macs in general (using one after supporting hundreds is less magical) so I’m willing to trade that to have more control over my device. I like it and I’m happy with the purchase. I was able to install the Asus apps from the Microsoft Store, so it’s all good now.

[...]This laptop is a beast when it comes to gaming , I upgraded my sons laptop which was a MSI Katana i7 10 series intel with a 2070 super and let me tell you this Asus is a much faster pc , havent had it long so cant say too much but will update as time goes on. Only issue I have had is no fault of the seller at all , but UPS some how lost my package and was told by amazon to place another order and i would be credited back for the first order but out of no where the first PC shows up before the credit was even applied so now going through the process of returning one of the laptops but so far the seller has been great no issue with requesting my return due to the shipping mishap so hopefully this one arrives back and i am credited back for the orginal laptop. Will update this review once everything is settled and i have time to use this laptop further.
