So we started from scratch, reinventing each essential element as part of a singular, deceptively simple design. It’s everything there is to love about Mac. In its purest form ever. A keyboard reimagined from A to Z. From the beginning, our goal was to design a full, uncompromising Mac experience. And a full-size keyboard is an essential part of that. In order to fit a full-size keyboard in the incredibly thin MacBook, we designed the keyboard from the ground up. Each component has been rethought specifically for the new MacBook, from the underlying mechanism to the curvature of the surface of each key to the distinctive new typeface. The result is a keyboard dramatically thinner than its predecessor. Now when your finger strikes the key, it goes down and bounces back with a crisp, consistent motion that makes typing with precision a breeze. Butterfly mechanism. Traditional keyboards use a scissor mechanism, which tends to wobble around the edges. This creates a lack of precision when you strike anywhere except the center of the key. We needed to reduce key wobbling for a keyboard this thin; otherwise, striking a key off-center could result in the keycap hitting bottom before a keystroke registers. So we designed an entirely new butterfly mechanism.

I love the laptop I got the space grey, it works well. One of the keys (W) on the keyboard has a little difficulty pressing it and the keyboard was a little bit dirty but it was pretty easy to clean. There was also a small scratch on the back but barely noticeable. The battery is amazing it charges 100% in 30-45 mins. And the battery last me 8/9 hours of consistent internet use and YouTube video streaming. I feel like this model should be a little bit cheaper since it is 5 years old but overall not bad. My sister ordered a brand new 2019 MacBook Air for 400$ more… the single port means I had to order an adapter in order to connect usb and HDMI cables. It is extremely portable and perfect for a student

El vendedor tiene una buena estrategia, coloca una piel tipo mica sobre la laptop y con esa mica no se perciben rayones y daños. Llegó con algunos raspones casi imperceptibles y le falla la tecla M. Sin embargo es un buen equipo, funciona correctamente y es como yo la necesito: ligera y compacta. Buen precio para un equipo usado, todo, fuera de la tecla M, funciona bien. Quizás solo le compraré una carcaza de plástico ya que la mica empieza a tener algunos tallones porque básicamente es una película plástica. Fuera de eso, estoy bien con esta compra.

The computer is amazing and I would give it a higher rating if I could. The sound quality is perfect. I had a 2011 MacBook Pro before this and I had to turn the sound up all the way to hear anything at all but I only need to turn it half way on this one. The size is perfect and it’s light as a feather. But tell me why a delivery service would leave a $1000 computer on your doorstep without even knocking?

Muy buen producto, cumpliendo cabalmente lo prometido ( y un poco mas, ver abajo):Lo bueno: – La batería venia completamente nueva con 0 ciclos, es decir al 100% vs el 80% publicado (Excelente). – La Macbook venia con una piel transparente protegiendo la maquina completamente (seguramente del dueño anterior) y una mica en pantalla, no necesito removerlas y viene con una protección natural fuera de la caja (Excelente), aunque entiendo que no será en todas las unidades que vende este proveedor. – La Mac, funciona perfectamente y de acuerdo a lo esperado.Lo malo: – La Mac viene con un par de pequeños rayones en los bordes que la piel instalada no alcanza a proteger, si bien son mínimos y de acuerdo a la categoría adquirida, siempre se tiene la esperanza de que este perfecta cuanto a lo cosmético, al ser un producto del 2015 sin embargo es entendible y razonable.

Gets hot and poor battery life
[...]As far as appearance goes this is stunning no scratches or anything else. Using it on the other hand is a different story, I’m new to macOS so I don’t have much to say about it, the speakers are amazing, but using the laptop for causal browsing (using Chrome) it gets HOT like I have to use a pillow to keep it from burning my lap, charging it while using it makes it even hotter for some reason; battery life is bad as well I get like 3 – 4 hours using it a far cry from 9 hours I expected, my iPad Air last can last 10 hours on a single charge (depends what I’m doing)!Maybe I need more time to mess around with this laptop but as of right now if it weren’t for it getting hot and it’s poor battery life I would’ve recommended this.

Almost unusable MacBook
[...]Appearance wise, this laptop is in great shape, it looks brand new. As far as function goes, this computer is nearly nonfunctional most of the time. The battery life is extremely poor and erratic – sometimes a full charge will last 3 hours straight. other times, I will close the laptop on a full charge, open it again15 minutes later, and the battery is somehow at 10%? Today, the charger they provided with the MacBook is no longer charging the computer??? There are several keys that are stuck that I have to press extra hard when typing. The computer itself is SO slow and delayed, there is a 30-50 second wait at any given time when clicking on something. Nothing is fast. With it being used, I had expected some physical markings on the MacBook from some regular wear and tear. I had not expected the computer itself to run so slow. I am such an Apple snob and wanted a Macbook but couldn’t justify the $$ for a new one. Had I known that it would be like this, I would have saved my money, swallowed my snobby team Apple pride, and purchased a brand new PC from HP or Lenovo. Overall, I was very hopeful and ended up pretty disappointed.

Make The Switch To A Apple MacBook Retina Labtop And See What You Have Been Missing!!

My outcome was mind blowing the way it works with my I-Phone and other Apple devices is unreal. It’s endless what the Retina model can do. Everyday I can’t wait to learn and see what this labtop can do. And so far it has met my expectations and not once did it not do what I needed done. At first it was hard to get use to. But once you catch on you will be surprised how user friendly and easy it is to navigate this amazing Apple creation!! Run in to a jam there tech support is impeccable. Also the Apple website will walk you through any problems or guide you to customize your Retina labtop so you get 100% pure satisfaction to fulfill your Apple experience!!! Hands down best money I have ever spent on a electronic device!!! Soon I will be upgrading because every new MacBook just gets 1000 times better and better. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for me when I upgrade!!! So as you can see I am very HAPPY I made the switch to the Apple MacBook Family. So don’t think twice go for it. You won’t be disappointed that’s a fact!!!!!

It has been painstakingly difficult to even write this review as the keys on the laptop I purchased from this company are sticking VERY badly. I am constantly having to go back and correct double lettering and spacing, or keys not typing all together. Also, the space bar double spaces. That’s just the beginning. The battery is listed as “service battery.” This was the case as soon as I took the laptop out of the package. Even more, the trackpad is now going out. Keep in mind I have had this laptop about 2 months. Let me be VERY CLEAR (I do not write reviews) DO NOT order from this company. You WILL regret it. Take my word for it, I am not someone that complains or writes reviews regularly. As mentioned, I order from Amazon VERY frequently, and I COMPLETELY regret this purchase.**UPDATE – NOW the mouse cursor just randomly disappears for no reason. I have to close the Macbook to see it return to the screen. Just one more problem to add to the list. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL SELL YOU A HORRIBLE PRODUCT.
