Slightly larger and don’t fit quite as well

I can wear them all day and forget I’m wearing them.I cannot wear any style ear buds that have the suction cup ear canal inserts, so the Apple air pods are perfect for me.I bought these to replace a set I lost. I wanted the USB-C port and the newer generation technology.They are still easy to use, have great sound quality and much better nattery life than the previous generationls.However they have changed the size and shape to where these don’t want to stay in my ear as easily as the older versions. I still like them very much, but they can at times want to pop out on me.

Each generation has brought with it overall better sound reproduction, IMHO, as well as innovations such as Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio, which needs to heard to be truly appreciated using Apple Music. All in all, these 4’s are excellent and I highly recommend them.

Smaller different lightning charger
[...]#1 Apple managed to fit their AirPods into a smaller package but they do not include a lightning charger which is not the same as the previous design so I’m going to see if there isn’t an adapter.#2 the smaller size although more convenient makes it actually a little harder to remove the individual AirPod from the case because they are closer together, especially if you have a touch of arthritis or if your hands are larger. Other than that they work pretty much the same as the original

[...]These are Apples best Bluetooth headphones to date. I own all Apples headphones and these have become my favorite as far as sound, fit, and comfort. The ANC version is better in terms of sound quality. I’m surprised Apple doesn’t mention this but you can definitely tell the difference between the two. The ANC have more depth, punch, and low end.

Only 2 negatives – but still LOVE these

I had some off-brand that sounded AMAZING but they never automatically connected and were less of an easy experience.The airpods just WORK the way you expect them to which I missed and am so glad I have again.Two negatives:1. These model 4 fit differently. They feel even more loose than models previously in my experience. I THINK I have normal sized ears for a 42 year old guy.2. They don’t seem to be able to tap to play/pause like I remember the earlier model. Not that I’ve found at least. The tap functionality seems to be limited to phone calls.They also look stranger in their case. A buddy told me I had the in backward. I didn’t. They just sit funny.OK, a positive? They sound WAY better than older models.OH! And the microphone sounds a million times better than before.I can’t do the noise removal due to bouts of vertigo, but these are a big improvement on older models in audio and mic quality. And I didn’t think I’d like the adaptable noise mode where it gets louder if my environment does, but then I was mowing the lawn and the volume AUTO-adjusted so I could still hear it at the ‘same’ loudness, and honestly, it was delightful. :D
