Cheap but powerful
[...]Edit: the 6550m doesn’t have hardware encoding which makes this not work for VR and pretty worthless for video work. Get something else if these are considerations you concerned about.I bought this mostly for school work and light gaming and I’m impressed so far. I was running FFXIV on max laptop settings and getting a very consistent 130+ fps. It’s not too loud either while gaming (though it does have a high pitched tone from the air filter at the bottom). The build quality feels like a 200$ Walmart laptop, and the USB ports are very tight, but the internal more than make up for it. I wanted a cheap gaming laptop and that’s exactly what I got and I’m fully satisfied.

[...]This laptop is great! I think it’s very high value for it’s price and it works better for gaming than my $1,500 laptop. I bought it to play Marvel Rivals and it can load that quickly at a higher graphics setting than our desktop. Only down side is that it is fairly thick/heavy and seems to get warm easily.
